It takes a litte faith
                And a little love
                And some knowlegde of the Bible
                To earn a place above.

                It takes a great deal of striving
                More than a little effort from us
                If we want to travel
                On the side of Jesus.

                The only easy road.
                Is the road of shame.
                Life, however we may view it,
                Is no simple game.

                The price of our ihnheritance
                Calls for a love that is true.
                And a steadfast disposition
                No matter how sin might woo.

                You must take a bow and turn your cheek
                You must risk and you must lose
                And expect that in a struggle
                You will suffer from a bruise.

                But in the end, Christ will love and heal you
                And anoint you with grace,
                Wash away your sin and selfishness
                So that you may look upon His face
